When I connect bluetooth headphones to my Hp computer, my bluetooth keyboard lags slightly. I'm at a total loss. Could someone please help?

I tried switching the keyboard's batteries, updating its and the headphones' drivers, turning bluetooth off and on, switching the keyboard and headphones, updating my bluetooth drivers, even briefly removing my metal monitor riser, thinking it was getting in the way of the transmission, but no luck.
