Guest PT Posted August 23, 2007 Posted August 23, 2007 WinXP Home I've installed the clipboard viewer but I'm not sure how to use it. Certain programs automatically transfer content to the clipboard. For example when I highlight text in Word or other programs and click "Copy", the material is immediately visible in the clipboard viewer. But although I can view the material, I don't seem to be able to access it. More specifically, I looked at a You-Tube video whose link I wanted to copy. The website in which it was displayed only gave me the option to copy the link to the clipboard, which I did. But I'd like to copy that web address elsewhere, and can't find the command to do so. Please advise -- PT

"Copy to clipboard" is the same as pressing CTRL+C on your keyboard. Hightlight the text or URL you want to copy, press CTRL+C, then press CTRL+V to paste the text or URL in another program or field. You don't necessarily need the clipboard viewer, I've never needed it. Jon.

The Clipboard Viewer from Microsoft is crap. Microsoft has never provided a decent clip manager. Clipboard Viewer showed up in Microsoft 95 and has not been improved. Get a much better clipboard manager, like ClipMagic (free).
