Power pack??? which one will i need plz help

hi i have a ECS ATX Motherboard (socket 478) with Celeron 1.8MHz processor

i have got 2 DDR 266MHZ 256MB memory sticks, which are meant to be compatable.

its got a celeron 1.8mhz processor

What power pack do i need?????

and does it matter about the size of the hard drive???

plz help coz i really want to build this comp for my daughter bday next weds(2708)

Hi

 

You need a ATX power supply. A 350W should be more than enough for you.

 

As for the Hard drive i would say anything from 120GB or bigger.

Just make sure that the PSU (power supply) has ALL the connectors that the MOBO (Motherboard) needs - some MOBO's require 20PIN ATX and some 24PIN ATX (most PSU's come with a 24pin and you can detach the 4pin) but if you get one that only has a 20 pin - you cannot add another 4 if that makes sense.

 

Also the size of the HDD depends on what she will be using the PC for - if its just internet and word and excel then 80GB is more than enough - if she will be doing the above as well as playing games etc then as Maynard suggested 120GB+ would be better.
