Make sure you can see all hidden files and folders (View tab in Folder Options). In XP, there are four checkboxes to deal with: a. Check "Display the contents of system folders". b. Check "Show hidden files and folders". c. Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types". d. Uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and click "OK" to the dialog box. 2. Now that you can see everything, go to My Computer and double-click on your C:\ drive. Navigate to: C:\Windows\System. Once there, leave that window open. 3. Go to My Computer again and double-click on your C:\ drive. Navigate to: C:\Windows\System32. Once there, leave that window open. You will now have two windows open. To make things even easier, if you do not have the addressbar showing, go to View>Toolbars and put a check next to the addressbar. This will help you see where you are in the file system. 4. In the System folder window, locate WinG32.DLL. Right-click it and, still holding down the right mouse button, drag it over to the System32 folder. Let go of the right mouse button and you'll get a context menu. Choose "Copy" - *not* "Move". Now you will have the WinG32.DLL file where it belongs. You can then go back to the System folder and delete the WinG32.DLL file if desired. Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers http://www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User
