Guest Tester Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Hi there, Is there a command to flush cache data to disk in XP? I am thinking of these situations when an office application opened document hangs up, I need to force close it and I still want data somehow recovered. Is there another better way? I notice sometimes the document when opened is asking do you want to revert to the recovered document? Thanks, T

The application initiates the file save from it's memory space, "Recovered document" is a function of the application. So no you can't do what you envision, since the system doesn't work the way you envision.
