Need Help!

I have a setup of 4 servers. One being and email server and the other the

SPAM gateway. Everything was working well until a couple weeks ago. when

suddely no emails were getting through. troubleshot and realized that the

gateway was not processing any emails. check DNS Server and DHCP and all

looked good. did "nslookup" and that came back with the correct IP address.

Tried to ping the IP address and it times out. Reserved the IP Address via

DHCP and rebooted the server and all was well for about a day and then the

same thing. evenrtually added a seperate NIC and everything was well for a

few days, then the server rebooted for soem Windows updates last Friday and

we are back to square one.

The SPAM gateway can get out on the internet fine and ping other

workstatiosn and servers on the LAN just fine.

Stumpted!!

Checked even logs and they compalined once of the EVENT ID 1058 and

1030...but figured that was due to the faulty NIC... but cannot be. All other

servers were rebooted and still not luck!

need assistance!

Hello ss1001,

How is DNS setup on your servers? Did you run netdiag and dcdiag to see that

theire are no errors?

Best regards
