You may have the wallpaper changed to web try this: = Right click Desktop select Properties and on the Display properties click on Desktop Tab then click Customize Desktop. On the Desktop Items click on Web Tab and be sure all boxes unchecked there. Then click on Appearance Tab then Effects button. On the Effects window be sure the settings been set to suite your requirements. "No Desktop Icons" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555363/en-us If you cannot change it then try the Registry Editor and scan for malware and Viruses on your system. Open a run command and type in: regedit.exe click [OK] [-]HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop= In the right Pane/Window locate and Double click the value named "NoChangingWallpaper" Set it to (0) [-]HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop= In the right Pane/Window locate and Double click the value named "NoChangingWallpaper" > Set it to 0 HTH. nass ----- http://www.nasstec.co.uk
