RWW for W2K3 Std.?

Hello everyone,

I know that Remote Web Workplace (RWW) is a standard feature of Microsoft

Windows Small Business Server; however, I was wondering if there is a similar

feature that can be installed on a Microsoft Windows 2003 Standard Server?

We have a client who is interested in this technology, but their environment

warrants a full standard edition of Windows Server.

Thanks everyone and I look forward to reading your responses.

Hi Mathieu,

Is there a SharePoint feature/template that is the same as RWW?

Application Templates for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/windowsserver/sharepoint/wssapps/templates/default.mspx

I don't know what RWW allow, but you will find available template from MS

for free..

By the way, you should go on WSS 3.0 (the last version)

Mathieu,

I appreciate your assistance; however, I don't believe this answers my

question. Our discussion has taken us in the direction of WSS, but I'm

curious about a RWW solution for Windows Server 2003 Standard.

It's looking more like I may have to recommend a Citrix solution to our

client...

Sorry for my misunderstanding of your needs..

Sharepoint + OWA is often enough (until the needs are about running a

business software)

Mathieu,

I appreciate your comments.

If anyone has any additional suggestions they are most welcome. I'm looking

for RWW functionality in Microsoft's standard server product.

Re: RWW for W2K3 Std.?

I recall there was a discussion on this, perhaps on one of these Microsoft

forums. There is apparently a way to install RWW on Server Standard but

technically it might be a breach of the license. If you search through the

forums you might find a thread on it.

Re: RWW for W2K3 Std.?

Good morning Greg,

Thank you for your response. This is the information I've been looking for.

All,

Has anyone come across the information that Greg has discussed? Also, can

anyone speak to the potential licensing issue raised?

Thanks again for your assistance.
