Guest Bret Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Hello, Is there a way to block general users on a computer from adjusting the volume level? We have users who like to turn down the volume so they cannot hear the alarms on the computer. A program or a registry edit or something? Thank you, Bret

A user asked the same question in March: http://www.ureader.com/message/33322057.aspx You would have to disable Media Player as the volume controls are linked. My keyboard has volume keys for example. Do yours too? Then you have the shortcut keys aswell. Unmapping the volume keys (pneumonics) are easy though. Can users can get to START | ALL PROGRAMS | ACCESSORIES | ENTERTAINMENT? You can always remove the icon from the ALL USERS\PROGRAMS\ACCESSORIES\ENTERTAINMENT to stop that way in, but it depends how your users get their menus... Lastly, spoof your e-mail address from the spammers -- Newbie Coder (It's just a name) "Bret" <bpotter652@gmail.com> wrote in message news:1187988995.700778.211800@x35g2000prf.googlegroups.com... > Hello, > > Is there a way to block general users on a computer from adjusting the > volume level?
