Password change for personal Microsoft acct won't work.

Every time I try to change my password for g********@gmail.com it seems to work, then when I go to login it tells me my password is incorrect. I've done this MULTIPLE times and at wits end. I noticed when I try to get a recovery code it is for an email I don't recognize. *** Email address is removed for privacy *** is the email and has NO association with me or anyone I know. I have a bad feeling this person has hacked my account. I can give you all of the passwords, etc. I tried the recovery option but it said it didn't have info info. I'm at a loss
