Guest John Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 I purchased a new XP computer (woohoo!) and found something annoying. If I have the Folder pane open under Explorer and click on a folder without subfolders, the + icon appears on the folder when it shouldn't. The really weird thing is that if I minimize the window and thing open it, the + icon disappears! Is there a patch/fix for this? Thanks...

This is the normal behavior of Windows Explorer. The list is "virtual" and a folder is not initially displayed in it's entirety until you click on it. Sometimes the TreeView does not refresh fast enough (in the case of a long running, CPU/Video intensive, or a hung process). When a view has the focus (is selected) pressing the "F5" key to refresh the view. Mark
