DEP error for IIS Worker Process

Recommended Posts

Posted

I rebooted my server running 2003 and Exchange 2003 and began receiving a DEP

pop error for the IIS Worker Process. No matter how many times I cancelled

it, the pop would return as soon as I clicked on "do not send" to Microsoft.

I finally had to go into System Properties > Advanced > DEP tab and choose to

exclude the IIS Worker Process. Can someone tell me what this error is about?

Thanks

Re: DEP error for IIS Worker Process

So this comes from the exchange virtual site.

DEP support for .Net 1.1 start with the SP1.

So you may install the service pack 1 for .Net 1.1:

Re: DEP error for IIS Worker Process

The error that popped up did not tell me what it came from. It just said the

IIS Worker process. The server is running Server 2003 with at least SP1 if

not SP2. Exchange is running SP2. All updates to the machine are current as

I rebooted them after the updates ran yesterday which is when I began

receiving the errors.

Re: DEP error for IIS Worker Process

The service pack i mentioned is for .Net Framework.

This is different from exchange or windows service pack...

In IIS, on the exchange website (or the default if you have only one), right

click, property, ASP.NET tab.

Check your ASP.NET version 1.1.XXX (and post it back)

Re: DEP error for IIS Worker Process

Hello,

so it should have the No Execute.

For the moment, you should manually exclude it from DEP.
