Guest Ernie Lane Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Every so often when I boot up, I get a message from iTunes (it loads on startup) that the sound device isn't working properly. When I check my sound devices in Control Panel, the usual device (SoundMAX Digital Audio) doesn't show up on the first, Volume panel. So I reboot, and things are normal. Why is this happening?

Try not letting iTunes start up with Windows. -- Alias To email me, remove shoes
Guest Bob I Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Re: No sound Likely the hardware is a bit flaky, and not responding/initializing in time following a cold start.
