I have a program called CapWiz on my computer which is used mainly for transferring VHS to DVD. I've had it for a couple of years and have been happily using it with no problems, up until last night. Basically, what is happening now is that when I click on the icon to start up the program, the "egg-timer" icon flashes for a second or two and then nothing. It simply will not start up. It was connected via a USB hub, so I tried removing it from that and connecting it directly to a port first in the front of the computer, then in the back, and still no luck. I'm just really curious as to why it has suddenly "died" for want of a better word. Unfortunately, uninstalling and reinstalling isn't an option, as I can't seem to find the original disc that came with it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Logie

Welcome to FPCH

What was connected via USB, an external DVD burner?

When you say the icon - I take it that its a shortcut - manually navigate to the C drive and then program files and try and launch it from there.

The shortcut could have just stopped working.
