Windows 11 can’t see new Internal HDD

I have installed windows 11 on my Dell Precision 3630. After doing this I installed new internal hdd and tried to restart PC. Unfortunately with new HDD connected, windows would not boot. I disconnected and restarted and all booted fine. Reinstalled internal HDD whilst PC on and can hear HDD starting up but windows does not see it. I have tried different SATA ports and cables. Also tried another HDD which I know works. My OS is installed on a SSD if that makes any difference. Any help would be much appreciated.
