Drive C icon's gone

Recommended Posts

Hello,

My icon of drive c has mysteriously gone, leaving an "ordinary" program icon

in the window explorer.

I tried Powertoy, but still no use. Is this a virus or things like that?

Thanks

Jack

Re: Drive C icon's gone

Click Start, and then click Control Panel

Double-click Folder Options

On the View tab, under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders

Click OK.

Open My Computer, right-click the drive-letter, and choose explore

Locate the file named Autorun.inf (in the drive's root directory)

Delete the file Autorun.inf if found

Logoff and login back to your user account.
