Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop is not working eventhough it is connected.

So I bought the Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop. I plugged it in, but I am in vain even though Microsoft's mouse and keyboard center could see it, and I uninstalled the drivers a few times and rebooted the PC.I do have win7 on Dell Inspiron n4050 with i5 2nd gen
