Guest TMMiller Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 I'm running Windows XP Service pack 2 on a domain environment. I've installed Adobe 8.0 Standard on a domain account and when I go to run the application, it flashes the start-up screen and then disappears. The process is not running in the background and I've completely un-installed and re-installed. I've tried it on 2 domain accounts and the local administrator. It does the same thing for each account. I ran File-mon to see what was being accessed and found that when Adobe is started, drwtsn32.exe immediately executes a CLOSE function on the application. I'm at a loss and appreciate any help!

DrWatson is merely a reporting program and does not shut down applications. The computer is shutting down Adobe 8.0. However, DrWatson does generate a dialog box and files an error report to Event Viewer. Open Event Viewer and check out the cause of the closing of Adobe.
