Guest D. Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Re: scheduled tasks thanks for the reply . i did a manual scan before i went to "scheduled tasks" and i gave it over 10 minutes and it still kept running . dick

When his system slowed down I reminded him of disk Clean. He ran it and it took 39 minutes. When you are running disk cleanup is anything else running? You might want to run a chkdsk or even a chkdsk /f to check your disk's indexes for damage or bad sectors. Also, run defrag to see if you have a cluttered disk. A
