Laptop isn’t charging properly, black screen visible upon logging in, few files such as notepad / pictures are not opening.

My laptop used to charge in 15 min tops and take hardly a few seconds to switch on but both of these now are taking hours and the laptop is lagging if trying to work while it’s charging. It takes way too, hours now, longer but takes a few minutes to drain off all the charge. I used to able to open up photos/ notepad etc. now the only thing I open are pdf saved docs. It suddenly started working like this, my laptop charger is was used for another laptop and then mine. I’m not sure if that is the issue or not what is the issue. Even if I try to open display settings it’s showing the following “
