Guest abnewallo Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 The Stick Keys have activated themselves. When I type 'e' the 'My Computer' window opens and when I type 'r' the 'Run' process starts. The problem is that I did not turn the function on in the Control Panel Accessiblity option. And also it is not set in the Accessibility option so that I can turn it off. Can anyone help me turn the Stick Key option off?

Guest abnewallo Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Re: Sticky Keys active When I tried that nothing is happening. In the Accessibilty Option the Sticky Key check box is un-checked so it really supposed to be off. Guest RJK Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Re: Sticky Keys active http://www.microsoft.com/enable/training/windowsxp/stickykeys.aspx ....in the past, when I've switched on "sticky keys" by accident, (i.e. I was idly tapping the [shift] key), and "sticky keys" would stubbornly not switch off, I found that switching them on, and "apply"ing the change, and then switching them off, and "apply"ing the change, and then rebooting finally switched it off. regards, Richard "abnewallo" <abnewallo@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:DCB2F4EE-2E07-46CA-91B6-A4FB65DB9B7A@microsoft.com... > When I tried that nothing is happening. Try borrowing another keyboard as a test, or try removing the driver for the kb from the Device Manager. Upon reboot, the reload of the driver might solve, if the driver was damaged. -- Joe =o)
Guest abnewallo Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Re: Sticky Keys active RJK, Thanks for all of help. But all the attempts just give temporary results and the symptoms re-appears. I think my next step will be to format the drive and re-install.
