MB direct replacement same model compatibility problems

Hi I have an old PC with win vista 32 basic. The MB went faulty but due to having lots of external hardware tied to this OS in music projects which are half completed I cannot upgrade the OS and system. I really need to get this functioning again. The MB is ASUS P5n32 e sli , 4mb RAM. Q9300 Quad processor. I have replaced the MB with an identical model replacement. I now get a message on start up that windows is not genuine , the quad processor is showing and performing as a single core processor. I have made sure in MSCONFIG that it is not selected to a single core processor something el
