I'm having a black screen with cursor on my window 11 machine whenever my ac adapter is unplugged. Can someone help me?

I'm getting a black screen whenever I try to use the laptop's battery. It would run for about 2 minutes before turning into a black screen with an imovable cursor. What could be causing this?
