Cobra Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I saw Hendrix at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, TN back in tha late 1960's. The other bands there were Rufus and Carla Thomas & Booker T and the MG's. I also saw Hendrix at the New Orleans Pop Festival in August of 1969. Cobra Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 My 18 y.o. daughter likes Linkin Park. I listen to them as a courtesy to her. In defense of her musical tastes, she likes REAL music from the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's too. Country, Rock, Metal, Pop, everything. Even the dreaded Hip-Hop, but NO gangsta' rap. After all, she DOES have her Dad's brain!! Quote Nothing increases productivity like the last minute....... maynardvdm Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I like all kinds of music but Metal is my fav. Sorry Cobra we HJT your thread. :) Turned out good though? TBH i'll listen to anything, i like almost all genre's except that weird rap music and not a big fan of R&B, but all others i can listen too. It would be nice if you could hear some of the lyrics in some metal songs ;) Quote We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. wooman12 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 since you guys are discussing music, you got to see this. It is shocking. pay attention to the body movements! Quote

Cobra Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 since you guys are discussing music, you got to see this. It is shocking. pay attention to the body movements! That was borderline terrible. Not so much the body gyrations, but the noise they portray as music really stinks. How many times can a group of people repeat "BearForce1"?? I have a habit of listening to music (when I really want to rate a song) without watching the video. Nowadays, poor musical performances are made more acceptible by better video performances. @ wooman12, no offense intended toward you. :D You have broadened my musical experience to EXCLUDE this band from torturing me in the future. RandyL Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I wish I could watch and listen to what I like. Instead I'm forced into things like this. The latest one I've heard a thousand times. And that's just this week. You can thank my grandson for this. Quote We are all members helping other members.
