mouse highlight speed - please help

when my mouse touches an object it is instantly highlighted,

if i select a group of objects and they get highlighted,

then accidently touch another object, the group get unhighlighted

and the new one gets highlighted. How can i adjust the speed that

controls this action. I am using an ibm thinkpad, with windows me.

Don't have a "ThinkPad", john, but you should be able to access the mouse

functions in Control Panel/Mouse, or with the mouse icon in Systray.

If that fails, there is also TweakUI, remember? It doesn't address your

specific issue, but may be of help nevertheless.
