Guest fuji Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I understand at this point this error may be caused by drivers from new hardware installed or infection with a avariant of the Sdbot virus. The message I am receiving on start up is: A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. I am trying to follow some instructions to reboot in the safe mode, which I understand but cannot log on. Now my PC does not recognize my user ID. Any ideas? -- fuji
