Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus causing me problems with my Internet connections through other applications

The problem here is that every day this thing wants to update itself and I deactivated auto updates so they wont appear unless I press that Check For Updates button, but even though it aint helping at all cause everyday when I launch my programs I see that they are responding awkwardly and some dont work at all, the problem is always with the internet connection like something is blocking the way and does not let it pass through; so I go to Windows update center and click that button and tada!
