Guest Robert Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 I just recently started getting the following message when I boot up the computer: "Systems Battery Low", click F1 Key. Can anyone tell me what my problem is and how to solve it? Thanks, Bob

Guest JS Posted August 28, 2007 Posted August 28, 2007 Re: Systems Battery Low Most likely this is a warning that the CMOS/BIOS motherboard battery is near the end of its life and needs to be replaced. Replace the battery. It's a small disk on the motherboard, about the size and shape of a US quarter. A new one costs $2-4 US. -- Ken Blake - Microsoft MVP Windows: Shell/User Please reply to the newsgroup

Some use the standard battery and socket, some use proprietary batteries, some use the standard battery, shrink-wrapped, with a lead coming off of them....

I had assumed it was a desktop because in my experience, when asking questions, most people with a laptop specify it, and without his specifying, I normally assume a desktop. But it's possible that I'm wrong, so thanks for the addition. -- Ken Blake - Microsoft MVP Windows: Shell/User Please reply to the newsgroup
