When I go to Start, Search - how can I get it to open to Desktop/My

Documents etc instead of the screen that has the word on the left "to start

your search etc."

Thanks!

You could just try pushing F3 at the desktop, (or any window), which will

bring up Explorer with the search window for the desktop, then select My

Documents from the pull down menu.

Nero does include a search utility with some releases of its software that

can be used as a toolbar, and I think google may even do free one called

Desktop Search(?). I'm sure someone will know of something similar.

Re-reading your post however, it seems you just want a shortcut to My

Documents. Nothing will show in the right hand, (left?), until you actually

enter a search term in the fields on the right. I'm using Classic Windows

Folder view, so maybe the panes are moved around.

Hi Terri,

Search from Start will be set for the Start Menu.
