Dalo Harkin Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 We covered this awhile ago on FPCH - but here is an update:- Rumors of abit’s exit from the motherboard business have been around for some time. But even though the company says they remain just as committed to motherboards as ever, a new report by UK tech site Hexus claims to have received confirmation from industry sources that the opposite is true. Apparently abit will continue to deliver mainboards until the end of the year, with warranty claims and RMAs to be honored for a further 3 years. Abit has so far declined to comment, but this follows reports from last month that the company was dismissing employees from many departments, including those who previously worked on the Fatal1ty and MAX series of motherboards.
