Guest Lajos Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 On one of our production server (HP ProLiant 380D - 2 HD Raid1, C and D partitions) we are running out of space on the system drive. I was advised to move the user profiles from the 'Documents and Settings' folder on the system drive to the D drive. I have already read the q236621 KB article, but before I try the procedure I would like to see if anyone would have any experience with this procedure, or perhaps could recommend something else. Thanks in advance!
Guest Anthony Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Re: How to move user profiles from system drive to free up space 1) You can do it when you build the server, but to do it afterwards is a registry hack. 2) I think it is really a misguided piece of advice. What is important is to redirect all the folders out the profiles. Then the profile is sufficiently small that it does not really matter, Anthony, htttp://www.airdesk.co.uk "Lajos" <lajosbalogh@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:um0rpXl6HHA.5516@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > On one of our production server (HP ProLiant 380D - 2 HD Raid1, C and D > partitions) we are running out of space on the system drive.
