help installing exchange on server 2003

Our client has 2 servers. DNS appears to be on #2. IIS is on #1. I installed

exchange on #1. I can't run the mail wizard. I keep getting an error. I am

wondering if there is a way to tell if these computers are part of a cluster.

I am also wondering how to tell which one is the default domain controller.

Perhaps Exchange can't work in this scenario?

Thanks for any and all advice.

Are they both are DCs? To check that run ADUC. Most likely it is DNS issue. Can you ping the DNS server by name?

Thank you for your reply. I can run ADUC on both machines with no errors.
