Question about Windows Vista

Sorry, I've not found a group about Windows Vista.

When I try to install some software like "Emule", Windows Vista prompts me

to send two SMS to a specific number with a specific message.

It is retourned a code to alow the instalation of that software.

That code is valid for any reinstalation of the same software.

Can anyone tell me why this is so? What is the purpose of this code?

Can I get somewhere a software to retrieve these codes without sending SMS?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Question about Windows Vista

sms sending has nothing to do with vista!

There must be some other program that is doing that... and it doesnt sound

too nice at all!

the vista newsgroup is:

You will find lots of Vista newsgroups if you access newsgroups through OE.

Hardly surprising given that all the Vista users seem to be posting their

problems here.
