You need an RJ45 cable from the modem to the router dougie which in my case is yellow.

You then need another RJ45 cable from the router to the Ethernet card on the back of the PC, mine is blue.

The feed then is such;

ISP feeds modem, modem feeds router, router feeds pc and then the return path.

Thanks Wolfey,I'm not clued up on this.

This is the one they sold me.

Netgear WGR614AU 802.11G Wireless 54Mbps Router w.Firewall (33317) | Techbuy Australia

I don't even know if it is the right one.

I only want a router or something so each Computer can access the internet at the same time.

I didnt ask for wireless.

Is there something on the market simpler,Guys?

The colour codes here be different.

They sold me a blue cable to go from the Ethernet outlet on the Modem to the ethernet outlet on the router.

In the box was one more 1 mtr Blue cable also.

They said Modem to router then one cable from router to one PC and another cable from another outlet on the router to the 2nd PC.

Does this sound right?

That means I am 1 cable short.

Not sure what you meant by,"and then return Path"

When they are hooked up how does 1 PC recognize the other and the second PC gain access to the net? Thanks.

Please keep Plain and simple please Guys.

I am very confused.

Yes this entirely correct Dougie as they want you to hard wire the whole setup, there is nothing wrong with that.

Just get another length of RJ45 and plug that into the router and the other pc.

Thanks Wolfey Will go back today, and get another cable:)

That point I mentioned in my last post,Will there be a Wizard, or something to access the net, and PC's recognize each other?
