TS Performance when copying file or sending email attachment

I have a Terminal Server that has about 5 users connected to it max.

Everything works great except when one of two things takes place. In either

event, all connected TS Clients comes to a severe crawl:

1) If copying a file from/to TSclient either through copy/paste functions or

by doing it from a command prompt via copy <filename> \\tsclient\c\.

2) If sending an email from outlook that has a file attachment.

The slowdown affects all TS Clients that are logged on to the server.

The O/S is Server 2003 Enterprise, running Dual Xeon 3.0ghz processors, 2gb

of Ram. Connection is a 6mb cable connection.

Exchange is running on another server which is a SBS 2003 server, so I don't

think that is part of it. This server is strictly serving Term services.

I would think that the server should be able to handle the load being that

there are only 5 users connected max. Maybe something I have configured

wrong?

Thanks,

Ron

Is it any size file or are they large files? Where is the terminal

server in relation to the terminal server? Where are the users in

relation to the terminal server? What is the upload speed of your cable

connection?

Re: TS Performance when copying file or sending email attachment

I , think its a good question, what is the ideal internet connection speed

for both the server and the client?
