Hi, I recently installed a creative Pci express X-fi extreme audio sound card.

i'm running windows xp 64 pro. on a AMD 3800+ x2, with 4Gb corsair xms2 RAM and a Sapphire x1950 pro Graphics card.

it was working fine for 1 or 2 days then the sound started going choppy and affecting video while watching films or streaming interney videos, like bbc iplayer:mad:.. when playing mp3's it sounds great:D. perfect even. all the recent updates are installed. i thought at first it was my memory that was causing it. but i have 4Gb of RAM. i've noticed the problem only happens now and again. i've got onto creative and they couldn't hep as they said it was a bulk version. is there any chance anyone can help.

I would check the driver that you downloaded again and as you have it on 64bit OS I would not be surprised if the driver they have done is not very good.

I know this doesn't help but 64bit OS are reknowned for software problems.

I cant belive it. I had the card in the wrong slot in the board all this time:confused:.

Thought it looked a bit odd in the x16 slot.
