Why the FD is keeping reading/seeking

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Once I opened the Explorer or IE, the FD is keeping reading/seeking and the

green reading LED is on regularly and repeatedly. I am sure the FD and other

hardware of my computer are all normal, because I have dual OS installed and

the other OS does not have this action. Kindly please help how to disable

it. Thanks!!!

Right click task bar and select task manager to see what is running.

Thanks!

Before I opened the Explorer, there were 30 items was running:

After I closed the Explorer, the FD was keeping seeking/reading and there

were 29 items were running - no "wmiprvse.exe":

Sorry, I am unable to send pictures with this message.

Did you attempt to close down any of them?

Re: Why the FD is keeping reading/seeking

I tried to close "wmiprvse.exe" but it made no difference at all. I didn't

try to close the others.
