Guest Adrian Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 When I start-up in W98 I am asked for a password. How do I get rid of that? I don't want to use a password. Thank you, Adrian.

I went to the windows site and downloaded the newest BIOS update and that cleared the password on my child's computer.
Guest Dan Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Re: Password All Users: A general warning about being careful when you flash or reflash you BIOS is that if you have a power outage at the time due to perhaps a lightning storm and do not have a battery backup then you may destroy your motherboard. You would most likely at the least have to reflash the mb. Sorry, k_a but I must argue with the merit of your suggestion by saying that flashing a BIOS is not for the faint of heart and should not just be used to clear passwords. Alan Edwards has the right advice for Adrian. (the op.) "k_a_benedek@hotmail.com" wrote: > On Sep 2, 4:37 am, "Adrian" <x...@xx.xx> wrote: > > When I start-up in W98 I am asked for a password.
