When I start-up in W98 I am asked for a password. How do I get rid of that?

I don't want to use a password.

I went to the windows site and downloaded the newest BIOS update and

that cleared the password on my child's computer.

All Users: A general warning about being careful when you flash or reflash

you BIOS is that if you have a power outage at the time due to perhaps a

lightning storm and do not have a battery backup then you may destroy your

motherboard. You would most likely at the least have to reflash the mb.

Sorry, k_a but I must argue with the merit of your suggestion by saying that

flashing a BIOS is not for the faint of heart and should not just be used to

clear passwords. Alan Edwards has the right advice for Adrian. (the op.)
