microphone still not working on test

I did what you said but it still doesn't work on test for some reason any

other ideas? thanks for your help regards graham p.s i can still hear myself

through the speakers but it doesnt work on test as i said

Mr Grae,

 

1) Please post back to your original post not create a seperate one

 

2) What devices were listed in the AUDIO tab?

 

3) In MSN (TOOLS | AUDIO TUNING WIZARD) is your microphone selected or your

soundcard or is the mic plugged into your soundcard? If the latter then you need

to make sure its in the pinky coloured phono connector not the green & you have

selected the correct audio device in the MSN wizard

 

4) Dows the mic work in any other application?

 

5) On the SOUNDS & MULTIMEDIA is the volume bar set to minimum & greyed out

(disabled)?

hi well it seems to work in the msn test but when i finish that test and go

into sounds and audio devices the master volume is muted now? whats wrong

with that ? sorry about the single thread graham

hi well its working in test now which is great and i hope its ok on msn now.

thanks for the feadback. it just seems to work differently now and i can't

hear it through my headphones if i shout but maybe thats correct well thanks

for your time graham
