Stopping auto-detect of printers?

Hi

 

Is there anyway to stop the auto-detection of the printers that I install,

as I only want my shared printers to be available to certain machines?

As far as I know the best way to do this is through permissions. Just make

one group of users which would have permission to access printers. After that

remove the users group from the ACL and you're done.

 

Are we talking about printer sharing on client or server system? Also is

this domain or a workgroup?
