Guest evertheoptimist Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Re: sound devices when i go to the other devices lists i find that there is a yellow question mark overlapped by a yellow exclamation mark , when i select sound and audio devices then select audio codecs properties and all the others it says they are working properly but location unknown. I cannot update any of these because the update wizard will only go so far then says it cant update. these problems are the result of a partitioned formatted installation i did of windows xp as explained in another question . Guest Bob I Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Re: sound devices You will need the CD with the drivers on it for your sound card, or your motherboard if the sound system is integrated on it instead of a separate card. evertheoptimist wrote: > when i go to the other devices lists i find that there is a yellow question > mark overlapped by a yellow exclamation mark , when i select sound and audio > devices then select audio codecs properties and all the others it says they > are working properly but location unknown.
