Guest rdh201 Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 I an attempting to install Intel Create & Share Software, the update disc for windows XP. It is for camera model CS430. The message I get when install begins is; "This product requires 32 MB of RAM. Your system has only -1033 MB. Setup cannot continue." I'm running XP home with 3GB of ram. How can I install this program?
Guest N1K Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 RE: RAM installing program shows negative ram, unable to install LOL, seems that this program is buggy and can't detect the real size of your RAM, it detects -1033 instead. this may sound funny, but try to remove 2 gigs of RAM and try to install it with only 1 GIG. You may also want to ask for support at manufacturer's web site. -- MCSA, MCDST, MCP Systems Specialist http://www.wincert.net "rdh201" wrote: > I an attempting to install Intel Create & Share Software, the update disc for > windows XP. Guest rdh201 Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 RE: RAM installing program shows negative ram, unable to install Intel nolonger provides support for their cameras. Guest rdh201 Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 RE: RAM installing program shows negative ram, unable to install This program takes auto snapshots from the cam and post them to your website. It's a security thing for when I'm away from home. is it possible to disable some ram without having to physically remove it as this would be a time consuming and complicated event for me. Too many cables to connect...LOL ...or could you recommend a program to replace this one. Thanks "N1K" wrote: > LOL, seems that this program is buggy and can't detect the real size of your > RAM, it detects -1033 instead. > this may sound funny, but try to remove 2 gigs of RAM and try to install it > with only 1 GIG. > You may also want to ask for support at manufacturer's web site. > -- > MCSA, MCDST, MCP > Systems Specialist > http://www.wincert.net > > > "rdh201" wrote: > > > I an attempting to install Intel Create & Share Software, the update disc for > > windows XP. Guest N1K Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 RE: RAM installing program shows negative ram, unable to install Unfortunatelly I don't know such a program. There's not much work in pulling out 2 gig memory sticks out of the board mate. Since it's late here now, I'll try to think about that and let you know tommorow. But, the easier way would be to remove the memory modules before installation. Make sure you remove the power cable before doing this! Guest rdh201 Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Re: RAM installing program shows negative ram, unable to install OK Jim I'll give you a few details.. I must disconnect about 15 or 20 cables, pull out the pc, open the cover, snatch out the RAM, then all above in reverse order. This is because I made a poor decision of putting my conglomeration in an armoire.
