Guest ryguy1101 Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Browsed thru the forum threads and didn't see any previous discussions about this extremely annoying error message. Happens pretty much every time my computer tries to open a new dialog box (i.e. opening recycle bin or my computer, launching MS internet explorer, etc.). I've upgraded from IE6 to 7, updated all anti-virus programs, and run an error-clean program to clean up bad links, shortcuts, dead files, etc. Nothing seems to work. Any novel suggestions would be helpful.

Although you updated your anti-virus software, AV packages don't generally check for spyware or adware - you need seperate utlitiies for that.
