Guest Heirloom Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Re: New Version of Spybot. Zee, I read in the forum that in order to make the immunization 'stick', you may have to restart after immunizing. Maybe that will be helpful to you, I hope. Also, for anyone that installed v1.5 OVER v1.4 (like myself), you will get dual entries in the Add/Remove Programs of Control Panel. I removed the extraneous entry with jv16 Power Tools. In the Spybot S&D folder, you will find four *unins* files......<unins000.dat> <unins000.exe> dated with the install of v1.4 and <unins001.dat> <unins001.exe> dated with the install of v1.5. The two older files are safe to delete from the folder........there are no markers pointing to them in the Registry. They should not create any conflict during uninstall, but, I am deleting them just to make sure.
