Guest Tariq Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Folks- I hope all is well. This is a question for Windows XP gurus. I am setting up desktop environment for my company, and I was wondering if it is possible to allow my end users (who are member of domain users group) to install company's approved software from some central distribution point by using their domain user account without giving them any administrative rights on their workstation? Is there any third party utility available? I am setting up a small environment, and I cannot afford to invest in SMS or other tools to deploy packages. I just want simple solution that will allow my users to install only company approved software without having them administrative permissions on their PC. I don't want them to go on the Internet and install software from the Internet. Any suggestion? Tariq
Guest Joyce Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Cannot reach Windows Update page Cannot reach Windows Update page I keep getting this error message. I'm running Windows XP with SP2 on a PC. Thank you for your interest in obtaining updates from our site. This website is designed to work with Microsoft Windows operating systems only. To find updates for Microsoft products that are designed for Macintosh operating systems, please visit http://www.microsoft.com/mac/. I also can't seem to open new question window but can read and reply. Very odd.
