Guest Spana Lum Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 I have a strange problem to my file server. The problem is my file server running on windows 2003 with sp 1, out of sudden my S: default share is missing and share folder in inside this S: drive share permission change from FC to read only. My server got 3 drive, C,D and S. C and D drive no problem only S drive. I can't find any error in my event viewer or audit log. Is there reason missing default share and causing share permission changed? And why the default share for S: drive is missing? Kindly help me to troubleshoot this problem. Thanks Lum

Guest net_admin Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 RE: Missing Default share and Share permission changed from FC to RE: Missing Default share and Share permission changed from FC to I'm not sure, but there's are some. How about another person with admin access to change that config? -- NetAdmin <São Paulo, BR> "Das ist nicht mein bier... arschloch."
Guest Spana Lum Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 RE: Missing Default share and Share permission changed from FC to RE: Missing Default share and Share permission changed from FC to only 2 person know the domain admin password so can't be. Last thing to do for the server is update security patch and restart system then this problem come. Guest net_admin Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 RE: Missing Default share and Share permission changed from FC to RE: Missing Default share and Share permission changed from FC to I believe it might be another person changing it. I'd recommend creating personal admin account for each admin and enabling auditing. -- NetAdmin <São Paulo, BR> "Das ist nicht mein bier... arschloch."
