Sound Card Problem

Hi just installed a sound card on my pc. instalsion says connect one end of audio cable to soud card then the other to cd/dvd rom, but all my drives are sata . so i can not connect to them.

 

Can i connect it in a different way.

Well from what I can see Scotsman the sound goes through the sata main board cable and then to the sound card etc.

 

Just leave it disconnected and give us a shout if it doesn't work and we'll look deeper.

Yes as Wolfey says the cable that you are referring to is for older drives and is only intended to be used if you plug headphones into your CD-DVD drive and listen that way -

no one has done this for years and years - so ignore the wire
