opening video file in powerdvd

hi all,

 

when i try to open any video file i have to select 'open with' and

then from list i have to select powerdvd or windows media player.

What i want as soon as user click on file thatshould gets open in

powerdvd or in windows media player.

 

how will i do this.

At the bottom of the window where you choose WMP or PowerDVD, there is a

checkbox "Always use this program..."

 

Check that box and every time you double click it should run with that

program.

 

For the most part there is no reason you can't use either of those programs

to view your media file, depending on which interface you prefer.

 

I use zoomplayer as it allows me to configure keys to jump ahead by 5, 10,

120 seconds without coming out of full screen mode, and allows me to set

sensible volume controls, instead of WMP's default, unchangeable ones, and

change the aspect ratio if need be.

 

Standard player is free IIRC. I'm sure there are other free players that are

configurable and frendlier than WMP.
