Guest Alex Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Hi. We have two Windows 2003 SP2 R2 servers (different hardware, builds and software) which restart/reboot rather than shutdown when shutdown is selected. I've searched online but am struggling to find any possible explanations. Can anyone advise how I can resolve this ? Thanks, Alex.

Switch off the "Automatically restart on system failure" and see what error message occurs when you shut down. This should point you in the right direction as to what is causing the issue. Neil..

If yes, you need to update the driver. That's what happened to my Dell PE2950s. "Alex" <news@ms.com.news> wrote in message news:OkGO3F67HHA.5316@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > Hi.
