How do I stop Administrator taking ownership of files copied to server share?

Hi,

As above, scenario is;

Shortcut on desktop to share on server, users can write to folder but not

browse it for security purposes. When a user drops a file into the folder

the local user administrator takes ownership, we would like to retain

ownership by the individual who dropped it in there so when a spider process

picks the files up it can check owner and log who dropped the file in the

folder.

Is there a very specific set of permissions that this folder mosut be

configured wih for this wo work in this way?

Cheers

Sean

Go into your domain or Sever Security policy. There you can assign default

permissions of ownership. g/l
